The founders of ScriptPad have been in healthcare IT and the EMR space for the past ten years. We realized that while larger healthcare enterprises were adopting information technology to help improve patient outcomes, there was a large segment of the market dramatically underserved by existing vendors — the small physician practice.

With that in mind, we set out to create software tailored to small-practice physicians.

In mid-2010, ScriptPad was accepted into the prestigious TechStars startup accelerator, and officially incorporated later that same year.

In late 2010, ScriptPad's e-Prescribing application was certified by Surescripts for prescription routing and refill functionality.

In early 2011, ScriptPad began enrolling physicians in our private beta.
